Reviews

This recital is probably a must for anyone who is taken with the possibilities of the modern clarinet, heard here in a largely tonal context….Obviously reflecting the taste of clarinetist Nathan Williams, there is an engaging insouciance to all the music heard here, and he dispatches it with a virtuosity that is nevertheless relaxed and playful….The performances, as noted, are very fine, as is the recorded sound. This is an hour of unfamiliar music that is enormously entertaining and well worth the time spent.
