Lucy Lost Her Laugh was commissioned by the Philadelphia Orchestra Association for their Sound All Around Series. Master storyteller Charlotte Blake Alston joined members of the Philadelphia Orchestra for the world premiere at the Academy of Music in Philadelphia. The original story is by Mary Liz McNamara.
