A Sense of Space —2007

Program Note

A Sense of Space refers to the profound emotional impact architecture has on individuals and communities; how it can provide people with a sense of joy, identity and place, and how it can fill them with hopes and dreams spurring them on to great achievements. A Sense of Space was written for the American Brass Quintet, commissioned by West Chester University’s School of Music, under the leadership of Dr. Timothy Blair, Dean, to commemorate the opening of West Chester University’s Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center in the Spring of 2007.
